Hello! I’m Lucy.

racket — This is the name my family call me

My business was founded in 2024 after I began creating bespoke wedding dresses for close friends. With a background in luxury fashion, I spent many years running London ateliers and working alongisde the incredible people who bring collections to life.

My bridal journey snowballed when I took on the Bridal & Custom division at Molly Goddard in 2020. I totally fell in love with the process, being able to work directly with the end consumer, and creating one-off pieces that will be cherished for a lifetime.

racket continues this love of working one-to-one, and celebrates local craftsmanship, with all looks created in my sweet corner of London.

Approach

After years of working with designers and creative directors, tasked with bringing their sketches to life, I feel most at home being given an idea and pushing it to become the best possible version it can be.

I now place you at the heart of the design process, nurturing your references and weaving personal elements into your custom bridal look.

I am as happy to be presented a fully formed idea, as I am to be passed a deck of inspiration images for me to design from - both excite me equally!

The process aims to be relaxed and playful. I believe bridal should be fun, and I love to get to know my clients. Being asked to create such a special and important piece is a responsibility I will forever be humbled by.

Everything is ran from my garden studio in Leyton, E10. All appointments, fittings, and the majority of the work is made from here.

I work with an incredibly talented all-female team of freelance pattern cutters and seamstresses, who are each within a 5 mile radius of my studio.

My fabrics are carefully sourced from beautiful and reputable European mills, with half being silk supplied by members of the Silk Association of Great Britain.
